It"s early in spring. Lingjiao Village of Xinglong Township, Dafang County, Bijie City, newly selected into the fourth batch of recommended rural tourist destinations at the provincial level last year, boasts heavenly beauty with lush vegetation and fragrant flowers all over the hills and tranquil ambiance. It is a tourist destination that you cannot miss.

早春已至，春意萌萌。在毕节市大方县兴隆乡菱角村，这里宛如世外桃源，山峦叠翠，处处芳菲浸染。远眺菱角村，一幢幢极具苗族文化特色的民居依山傍水、错落有致，宛如世外桃源。2022年，菱角村入选贵州“第四批全省乡村旅游重点村”，是游客值得一游之地。

Lingjiao is an ancient Miao village. The traditional Miao customs and culture have been well-preserved. Almost every Miao woman in Lingjiao knows how to weave, make batiks and embroider. Needles as brushes and threads as ink, they embroider exquisite designs; with copper knives dipped in wax, they paint beauty on cloths.

菱角村是个传统的苗族村落，当地人完整地保留着传统的苗族习俗文化。菱角村的苗族妇女，几乎都会织布、蜡染、刺绣。她们或以针当笔，用线为墨，专注地绣着精美的图案；或以铜刀蘸蜡，用布作画，将心中勾勒的美好画面一一呈现。

Lingjiao"s Miao pleated skirts feature elaborate colors and patterns. There are three layers: the first layer has no folds, and the light blue base stands for the clear water and fertile fields; the second layer of white folds symbol the crisscross footpaths between fields that stretch far; the third layer is full of cross-stitching and embroidery, which represents the leafy expanse of Yunnan-Guizhou plateau strewn with flowers.

村里的苗族百褶裙，颜色和图案都有讲究。共分为3层，第一层没有褶皱，淡蓝色代表着水草丰美、良田万顷；第二层的白褶，是代表纵横千里的田间阡陌；第三层是挑花和刺绣，代表郁郁葱葱的云贵高原。
