On the eighth day of the lunar month, the Miao people from various local villages gathered together to hold the annual "moon dance"(Tiaoyue) activity to celebrate the New Year in the village of Zhongpai Town, Longli County. The "moon dance" is not only a traditional folk activity for the local Miao people to pray for good weather and to celebrate the New Year, but also a large social activity for young Miao men and women to fall in love with each other.

近日，在龙里县龙山镇中排村，当地各村寨的苗族群众欢聚一堂，举行一年一度的“跳月”活动，欢庆新春。“跳月”是当地苗族群众祈福风调雨顺、欢庆新春的传统民俗活动，更是苗族青年男女谈情说爱、寻找意中人的大型社交活动。
